Sunday School is offered most Sundays in conjunction with the 10:30 a.m. service. Children and youth from Junior-Kindergarten age (4 years) and up stay with their parents in church until after story time and then go to church school with their teachers.
During the summer, a summer Sunday program is offered for all ages of children. Teaching teams this year are:
- Crib & Toddler Terry Wykurz
- Kindergarten Jane Shores and Cathy StonePrimary
- Grades 1 – 3 Shelley White, Michelle Robbins and Lynn Norris
- Intermediate (Grades 4 – 6) Karen Bright and Cynthia Laferriere
- Youth (Grades 7 & over) Steve Wykurz, Jim Bright, Randy Norris and Gord White
There are a number of ways people can be involved with Sunday School this year:
- Volunteer to join one of the teaching teams. The team teaching format enables teachers to share the responsibilities of teaching a class. Each team works-out their own schedule.
- Volunteers for a teachers’ “back-up list”. Tthese are volunteers who would be willing to lead a class on the rare occasion when a regular teacher is not available.
- Each parent will be asked to select 2 Sundays during the year when they will be available to assist a teacher(s) in one of the classes. Parents will be asked to help with crafts, clean-up, escorting children to the washroom, etc. These parents will not be asked to plan lessons.
- If there is a high school student in your life who is looking for an opportunity to earn volunteer hours, they can assist with a Sunday School class and earn credits toward this high school requirement.
